Catskiing, powder snow, skiing, snowboarding! The snow days are spent in the famous steep tree glades of the Selkirks. On sunny days we move topside to vast alpine bowls rivaled by few catskiing operations or resorts anywhere.
Valhalla guests typically clock 7 to 13 runs a day, or 13,000 to 18,000 ft of vertical. Runs vary from 1200 – 3000 ft, taking advantage of the best snow and fun factor available on the mountain each day. The ride between runs allows you just enough time to share stories of the awesome turns you just had, while snacking on Carolyn’s delectible homemade delights!
We run two snowcats in our 21,500 acres of terrain ( twice the size of Whistler Blackhomb combined!) each carrying 12 guests and 2 guides. Regardless of weather, the snowcats allow us to ride limitless fresh lines all day – everyday.

20 years ago, Kootenay Co-op Radio was a sparkle in the eyes of locals who felt the Kootenays needed a community radio station that expresses the unique spirit of the area. Community Education and Support Services is a collaboration between Jodi Bergman Counselling and Thrive Tutoring Services. We are a tutoring, education support and counselling cooperative offering individualized programs, small group learning, after school homework help, and family-centred counselling services in person and online. At CESS we strive to meet the needs of each student, helping them identify their own unique learning style and personal education goals using relational connection as our base.
Offers counselling including mental health, trauma, relationships, emotional difficulties, stress management, and spiritual healing.
All services are provided by master’s level clinical social worker registered with a professional licencing/registration body.
