LOCAL ART GALLERY AND GIFT SHOP
Station Gallery & Gifts is located inside the Nelson Visitor Centre. It’ll only take a few steps into the gallery and gift shop to understand Nelson’s legend as one of the continent’s greatest little arts towns.
Spread amongst a lounge, cafe and the visitor information kiosk, the gallery features a sweeping collection of more than 60 local and regional artists that rotates throughout the year.
You will find a wide selection of goods made by artisans throughout the region, including hand-carved wood bowls, prints, cards, soaps, ceramics, and jewellery. The gift shop also has a variety of local books ranging from historical pieces to hiking guides and cookbooks. The gift/souvenir shop has plenty of ‘Nelson, BC’ memorabilia to bring back home — Nelson and Kootenay-centric shirts, sweatshirts, hats, toques — memories of what may well be the the first of many trips here.
