Recently, we just opened up our new modern Italian restaurant, Marzano. We embarked on a trip to Naples, Italy in 2017. We enrolled in a one week course from one of the most revered, legendary pizzaiolas, Enzo Coccia, to understand the tradition and methods behind preparing the dough and working the forno. The course was rewarding and eye opening as we learned a century-old hand stretching dough techniques and simple authentic recipes. In addition to these well-guarded methods, we discovered the beauty of pure, fresh ingredients. The San Marzano tomato is a cornerstone ingredient that the locals take pride in as it is native only to the rich volcanic soil of the area. We were inspired by this and felt we needed to take the same care in selecting our ingredients, hence the name, Marzano as an homage to quality and authenticity.
We welcome you to come check out Nelson’s new restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

Great skiing, riding and amazing scenery is one thing, but sharing it with unique and memorable people is another. Our staff is made up of a blend of ‘Kootenay Folk’ who live the mountain lifestyle to the fullest. We ski deep, dry snow in the winters; and roam these same areas by bike in the summer.
The rugged landscape is in our blood – alpine peaks, valleys, forests, hot springs, glaciers, raging rivers, lakes, and an endless trove of secret treasures just waiting to be discovered. The Kootenays breed the type of people who define a culture that is both mellow and driven. Driven for adventure, but always taking in each moment.
Our professional guides and staff will welcome you with smiles, stories, and best of all – the experience required to share our skiing and riding with you in the best way possible. At Retallack, safety is always our Number 1 priority. All of our experienced guides are trained in client care , advanced first aid, mountain rescue, the safe operation of vehicles and aircraft, wildlife encounter procedures, and wilderness survival.

From learning how to run a business in Vancouver, I have stuck with the philosophy of being on time, always courteous, do what we say, finish what we start, providing fair and competitive prices. This belief has made my team and I successful in maintaining a strong relationship with every client I’ve done work for in this area. I strive to complete my work with a sense of pride and satisfaction knowing that I made a difference with each and every client. I love meeting new people and helping them out when I can. I look forward to meeting you down the road as well.
The Waterfront is a unique post-and-beam timber home located on the north shore of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, 10 minutes from the historic town of Nelson, and 15 minutes from the Balfour landing of Kootenay Lake ferry. We are located on the International Selkirk Loop.

I help individuals subdivide their property. With great relationships at the governing body (Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure), I make the process much less painful than it’s made out to be. I got started in the business by successfully subdividing 2 somewhat complex parcels off of my acreage, and now I find a lot of gratification in helping others do the same, changing their financial future.
