This Earth Week, we’re inviting local businesses to step up and stand out by joining the Chamber’s 7-Day Sustainability Business Challenge, running April 22–28, 2025!
Get your team involved, It’s a great opportunity to engage your staff, spark better habits in the workplace, and show your commitment to building a more sustainable business community.

How to Participate:

1. Follow @discovernelson on social media to stay updated and participate.
2. Complete the daily challenges shared on our channels starting April 21st. Each challenge will be no- or low-cost and designed to be easy to implement for you and your team.
3. Tag @discovernelson in your posts on social media to show your involvement.
4. Track your progress—the more challenges you complete, the better your chances of winning!
5. Can’t complete a challenge on the same day? No problem! As long as you complete all the challenges by April 28th, they’ll still count toward your total.

The Rewards for your Business:

Social Media Spotlight – We’ll feature your efforts on our social media channels.
Grand Prize Draw – Businesses that complete all 7 challenges will be entered into a draw for a FREE Business Feature —including a professional photo session at your business in May!
Official Recognition – Every business that successfully completes at least 5 out of 7 challenges will receive a certificate of achievement and earn the title: “Earth Week Champion 2025 – Building a Community of Sustainable Businesses”

Challenge Schedule:

The Sustainability Challenge of each day will be revealed one day in advance, with the first challenge announced on Monday, April 21st—giving you plenty of time to prepare. Spread the word and invite your business neighbours!
