Preparations Underway for Chamber’s Biggest Night of the Year
The annual Gala Dinner & Auction is more than just a great night out, though it certainly is that too!
Between the cocktails, silent auction and an exciting live auction, it’s an evening full of great food, engaging company and a bit of friendly bidding competition. It’s also a terrific opportunity to connect with other local business owners in a relaxed, social setting, the kind of networking that happens naturally over dinner and a glass of wine.
This year’s Gala Dinner & Auction will take place on Saturday, November 7 at Mary Hall on Nelson’s Tenth Street Campus.
Beyond the engagement and enjoyment, the Gala is the Chamber’s primary fundraiser of the year. Gathering together to celebrate makes a real difference in our community. Last year’s Gala helped us support community organizations like KidSport Nelson, Nelson & Area Friends of the Family, the Salvation Army and Nelson Street Outreach. Ticket sales and auction revenues are also important in helping fund our ongoing “Think Local First” campaign and other economic development initiatives throughout the year.
Every ticket and every donation helps us support our business community.
What to Know as We Gear Up
Donations: The Chamber team will be reaching out to local businesses over the coming weeks to ask for auction donations. It’s also a nice way to get a little extra exposure for your business with the community members attending. If you already have your donation ready, give us a call at 250-352-3433 and we’ll arrange a time to come pick it up.
Tickets: Tickets go on sale September 16 at 12:00 pm, and this year they’re available to Chamber members first. Keep an eye on your inbox as we’ll be emailing all members directly with everything you need to know about how to purchase your tickets.
This is always one of the best nights of the year in Nelson. Great food, a lively auction, and a room full of people who care about our business community. Don’t miss it!
