Additional Information

Attributes:
Machining is often referred to as a precision art. Using equipment such as a lathe, milling machine, radial arm drill as well as hand tools such as taps, dyes and reamers, the WEST KOOTENAY MACHINE SHOP can produce precision metal parts to within one thousandth of an inch. Starting with semi finished metal stock, machining removes metal until the finished size and shape is achieved. In the world of industry, engineers create and build machinery that then produce the products that we use in our every day living. This machinery can be very complicated, like an automobile or very simple like a hinge on a gate. Eventually parts break or wear out and need to be replaced or repaired. These problems can usually be solved by the WEST KOOTENAY MACHINE SHOP. New parts can be made to replace originals. New shafting material can be purchased then machined, be it threading, new keyways, or new bearing fits, Holes can be drilled bigger, holes can be drilled and tapped to accept updated parts. Bores can be machined out, a bushing installed and remachined. The WEST KOOTENAY MACHINE SHOP is a place where ideas become reality, where old workhorses come back to life and where change is welcome and accepted. Come on Down to the WEST KOOTENAY MACHINE SHOP with your questions, ideas and projects - Dave loves to solve problems, take on challenges and produce results.
