At Mistiso’s Place & Morning Star,  we put our focus  on the wellbeing of our guests and employees, and we continue to do everything to ensure their safety and happiness.

HOUSE CLEANING AND WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Our Housekeeping Team members clean and sanitize all hard surfaces of our vacation rentals, including but not limited to floors, countertops, railings, sink faucets, appliances, handles, doorknobs, and light switches and other other” high touch” surfaces. The quality of disinfectants we use should remove 100 percent of the microscopic organisms on surfaces, and effectively stop the spread of disease and viruses. Linens, duvet covers and towels are laundered on site and there is no evidence to suggest that this particular coronavirus will survive the wash chemistry and temperatures in the wash and dry process. All soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated.

Our housekeeping staff is trained to use the best hygiene practices at all times. With the combination of these best practices, our employees and guests should be safe from the spread of coronavirus.

At Mistiso’s Place and Morning Star, we already practice a high level of cleanliness, and with the ongoing pandemic,  we are even extra meticulous in practicing enhanced sanitation procedures in keeping with the recommendation by the Government of Canada.

We also recommend guests as an extra precaution to perform additional cleaning and disinfecting on  “high-touch” surfaces (e.g., remote controllers, doorknobs, handles, light switches, tables, hard-backed chairs, etc).  We have provided bottles of disinfectants and hand sanitizers/wipes in all the suites and the cabin.

Finally, we disinfect the suites and cabin with UV DISINFECTION LAMP with Ozonator each time we have a turnover between guests

As has been recommended by many authorities, stay at home if possible and avoid non-essential travels and practice physical and social distancing at all times.  Wash your hands often, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and do your part to boost your immune system with vitamin supplements, exercise regularly, drink plenty of water and get ample sleep.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES – YOUR TRAVEL FLEXIBILITY

• Existing Reservations: All reservations, even those booked previously, that are scheduled for departure on or before April 30, 2020, can be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to arrival for another time in 2020 or until  June 30, 2021. What you have paid previously would be applied as a credit to the new stay and the change fee would be waived. Limit of one date change per reservation. We will also offer a FULL refund as an option.
• New Reservations for 2020:  We realize that this may be worrisome to many to plan any future trips as no one knows how long this pandemic is going to last.  We are going to temporarily lift our 14-day cancelation policy and reduce it to 7 day notice to cancel the reservation without any  penalty.
