Oxygen Art Centre is a multi-disciplinary arts center located in Nelson, British Columbia. Oxygen Art Centre provides space and time for the work, talk and community necessary for artists. As a center for practicing artists and writers, our activities include exhibitions, literary events, classes and visual, literary and performance residencies.

We offer guided fishing on world class Kootenay Lake and Columbia River. Trophy Rainbow trout up to 35Lbs and Dolly Varden up to 29Lbs. Heated Boats. Fully licensed and insured. Brand new 2008 Ocean Pro custom boats.

The Royal Canadian Legion operates the Hampton Grey VC Lounge; a full bar open to the public with dart boards, pool tables, crib and other games. It is open to all; members and non-members are welcome.
We hold a meat draw and 50/50 draw every Friday at 3pm with lots of great prizes. All proceeds go to local charities. Support these worthy causes and have a fun afternoon.
The lounge is also available for event bookings on evenings and weekends with a full service bar/bartender and a capacity of 100 people. Please contact us for details.

Vanessa Deverell is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®) serving Nelson and the West Kootenay region. Her practice offers two complementary services: body-centered counselling and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Vanessa integrates Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and attachment theory into her work, helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship patterns, burnout, and highly sensitive nervous systems. Her approach honours both the intelligence of the mind and the wisdom held in the body.

Counselling sessions are available in-person in Nelson or online throughout BC, with direct billing available to most extended health plans. Craniosacral therapy—a gentle, hands-on treatment that supports nervous system regulation and deep rest—is offered in-person. Vanessa serves Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Kaslo, and surrounding Kootenay communities. She holds an MA in Counselling Psychology and a BA in Philosophy with a focus on trauma and embodied memory.
