Kootenay Pedorthic Clinic (formerly Vince DeVito Orthotics) is Nelson, BC’s dedicated foot care and orthotics clinic.
Owned and led by Logan Jacobs, a Certified Pedorthist and Certified Athletic Therapist who was mentored by founder Vince DeVito. A pedorthist is a specialist trained in assessing and treating foot and lower-limb conditions through footwear, orthotics, and bracing — the clinical link between how you move and what you put on your feet.
Located next to DeVito’s Shoes & Repair, we help people move more comfortably and confidently through foot assessments, range of motion evaluations, gait analysis, custom-casted orthotics, lower limb bracing, orthopedic footwear fittings and modifications, and over-the-counter foot supports. Our custom orthotics correct abnormal foot motion, improve alignment, and relieve pressure on painful or sensitive areas, and can be fitted into athletic, dress, work, sandals, therapeutic, diabetic, and winter sport footwear (skates, skis, boots).
Proudly serving our community, including Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Kaslo, and the Slocan Valley.

Vanessa Deverell is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®) serving Nelson and the West Kootenay region. Her practice offers two complementary services: body-centered counselling and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Vanessa integrates Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and attachment theory into her work, helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship patterns, burnout, and highly sensitive nervous systems. Her approach honours both the intelligence of the mind and the wisdom held in the body.
Counselling sessions are available in-person in Nelson or online throughout BC, with direct billing available to most extended health plans. Craniosacral therapy—a gentle, hands-on treatment that supports nervous system regulation and deep rest—is offered in-person. Vanessa serves Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Kaslo, and surrounding Kootenay communities. She holds an MA in Counselling Psychology and a BA in Philosophy with a focus on trauma and embodied memory. Free consultations are available to explore whether her approach might be a good fit.
