We offer true adventure skiing with friendly, experienced guides in absolutely some of the most spectacular terrain you’ll ever experience.  Welcome to the best daily snowcat skiing in the business! Choose from single day or multi-day trips. Check out the Kootenay Sampler – an exclusive trip where you experience the ultimate combination of Valhalla, Snowwater, Whitewater and then refresh in the local hot springs!

Catskiing, powder snow, skiing, snowboarding!  The snow days are spent in the famous steep tree glades of the Selkirks. On sunny days we move topside to vast alpine bowls rivaled by few catskiing operations or resorts anywhere.

Valhalla guests typically clock 7 to 13 runs a day, or 13,000 to 18,000 ft of vertical.  Runs vary from 1200 – 3000 ft, taking advantage of the best snow and fun factor available on the mountain each day.  The ride between runs allows you just enough time to share stories of the awesome turns you just had, while snacking on Carolyn’s delectible homemade delights!

We run two snowcats in our 21,500 acres of terrain ( twice the size of Whistler Blackhomb combined!) each carrying 12 guests and 2 guides. Regardless of weather, the snowcats allow us to ride limitless fresh lines all day – everyday.

Our staff is made up of a blend of ‘Kootenay Folk’ who live the mountain lifestyle to the fullest. We ski deep, dry snow in the winters; and roam these same areas by bike in the summer.

The rugged landscape is in our blood – alpine peaks, valleys, forests, hot springs, glaciers, raging rivers, lakes, and an endless trove of secret treasures just waiting to be discovered. The Kootenays breed the type of people who define a culture that is both mellow and driven. Driven for adventure, but always taking in each moment.

Our professional guides and staff will welcome you with smiles, stories, and best of all – the experience required to share our skiing and riding with you in the best way possible. At Retallack, safety is always our Number 1 priority.
