BioBio Guest Suite and  Guest House are located on an organic farm within a 10 min drive to the vibrant community of Nelson. The best of both worlds: the peace and beauty of the rural setting only a short drive ( or bus ride) to historic Baker St. with its restaurants, art galleries, bookshops and boutiques.

There are 2 options for accomodation. A 1 bedroom suite sleeps up to 4 people. BioBIo GUest House has 2 bedrooms, a TV/den, a living room and sleeps 6 people in beds.

Both are lovingly built by a Swiss carpenter using the highest quality eco materials on our organic farm ( Arrowhead Farm). Enjoy the fresh air and space of the country setting only a 10 min drive from downtown Nelson. 30 minutes to Whitewater Ski Resort.
Arrowhead Farm is situated on a quiet road, away from the highway, but easy access from town.

BioBio Suite is on the first floor. There are no steps from the parking to the suite and none within. The main suite is occupied by the owner. There is no overlap of living areas ensuring peace and privacy for both. BioBio suite has its own entrance and a fenced in yard separate from the yard of the main house. It has a lovely private patio.

BioBio Guest House has its own driveway and parking area and is very private. There are steps both outside and within the house. There is a beautiful flagstone patio with garden furniture and access to the natural swimming pools.

Both are built with low VOC paints and natural finishes, wood, stone and are equipped with Heat Return Ventillators for the best air quality and energy efficiency.

Quality furnishings, new memory mattresses, WiFi ( can be turned off on request), washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, TV, Netflix.

While staying at the BioBio Suite or Guest House you will have an option to buy our farm fresh organic produce, Kootenay Local Agricultural Society certified.
Please enquire about our farm/pond permaculture tours and workshops on farm crafts: milking, cheese, butter, sour cream and yoghurt making, sourdough bread baking, fermenting, preserving.

In the area:
We are located 10 min by car from Nelson. In the summer time many Nelsonites use Blewett Rd as their biking trail. It is 30 min by bike to Nelson and 50 ( or more) min back, as we are uphill from town. There is also a city bus that stops in front of the farm on request. Going to town by bike and taking a bus back saves you an uphill ride.
Other destinations:
Whtewater Ski resort, 30 min by car, famous for its champagne powder. Nelson was voted The Best Ski Town in North America by Powder Magazine.
Granite Point Golf course, 10 min by car
closest beach: Taghum Beach, 5 min by car
mountain biking: world class, abundant, closest area Morning Mountain is accessible from the house, a 10 min bike ride on Blewett Rd.

Kootenai Hideaway is a private lakefront cabin accommodation moments north of Kaslo. Queens Bay Hideaway is a private lakefront cottage just 5 minutes north of Balfour.

The completely renovated cabin sleeps 5-6 and has a queen size bed and a double futon couch/bed with an upper bunk in the front view room. There are also two single beds in the loft bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped along with a BBQ. There is a full bathroom with a shower. There is everything that you will need in the cabin including all bedding, linens and towels. There is ample parking and a RV power plugin on the cabin.The 200′ of private lake frontage consists mainly of small, smooth, flat pebbles that are made to skip on the lakes’ surface forever. The beach has a gradual slope into the lake which makes it safer for children. At the beach there is a fire-pit, hammock, tenting spots, horseshoe pitch or try the productive fishing from shore at the mouth of the creek. The cabin is located near the end of a no-thru road and is well away from the main roadway. You will only hear the wind and water as the other properties are well hidden past the trees.
